Melissa started with Sheridans in July 2014 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Management) at Murdoch University. Melissa became a qualified Chartered Accountant in August 2017 and completed the ARITA Advanced Certification in 2019, receiving a Distinction in her final module. Melissa is a Professional Member of ARITA.

Melissa joined the RINWA (Restructuring & Insolvency Network Western Australia) committee in 2019 and spent two years as President. She has since left RINWA and in 2024 was appointed as a committee member of the WA Division of ARITA. Melissa is also an accredited Mental Health First Aider (Counting on U program – Deakin University).
